Global Affairs Research and Development Epicenter Nepal (GARDEN) is a research institute established on the basis of three-dimensional connectivity.

The first dimension of the institute is that it cooperates with various agencies at the national level. Mainly the institute focuses on Nepal’s world affairs, national security, national interest, economy, diplomacy, politics, foreign policy, international cooperation, research, publication, development, infrastructures, etc. It connects experts, researchers, scholars, academics, politicians, diplomats, and intellectuals through various dialogues, debates, discussions, discourses, and seminars. It contributes to policy making, policy implementation and policy recommendation to the priority areas/sectors of the Nepal government through various kinds of research, publications, conferences, seminars, etc in cooperation with multiple government agencies, universities, public, and private think tanks, national and international organizations, etc.

Secondly, it connects Nepal with the world community through intensive research and publication on multi-dimensional sectors. We aspire to disseminate and share knowledge with all countries, including immediate neighbors who are under the radar of Nepal’s world affairs. It focuses at on the development experiences at international level, relations between and among global powers and their impact on Nepal, climate change and its impact on Nepal, the flow of immigrants, relations and policies of Nepal to various countries, Nepal’s diplomatic relations with the powerful nations with which Nepal is politically, economically, strategically, and culturally closely connected, etc. We will work with researchers, scholars, academicians, and university students of various countries to achieve our objective. We will establish ‘GARDEN chapters’ in those countries to cooperate with research institutions, universities, diplomatic institutions, and other like-minded organizations in those countries.

Finally, it connects the national issues/interest of Nepal with the provincial and local level issues of Nepal and vice versa. For this purpose, it cooperates with academics, researchers, scholars, and university students who are interested in national and local level research in terms of subjects, issues, and their area of interest. For this, it adopts a policy of cooperating with provincial and local level governments, provincial universities, various governmental and non-governmental organizations at provincial and local levels, various community/private colleges, etc. In this way, the institute aims to link Nepal with the world community at the global level, and the provincial and local communities at the local level along with connecting national agencies at Nepal’s national level. Thus, ultimately the institute contributes to the prosperity and development of Nepal from various means, mediums, and aspects. Therefore, we would like to appeal to Nepali and the world community to support us by joining and contributing to the institute directly or indirectly.

Thank you!
